The article is a light-hearted look at our newest fad and reasons why it may have gained traction. Thanks for reading! At ..."Science has to step in and save the day. At last the past can be solved. I can have the real evidence that I am related to all royalty." <br />I hope I'm missing the sarcasm. Anyone who thinks a DNA test will prove a relationship to royalty knows absolutely nothing about the test. Richard III was recently dug up but his DNA was not sold to any genealogy based DNA company. And I seriously doubt the current royal family is lining up to find all their 10th cousins 7 times removed. Your examples of confusion on ethnicity are based on the primary confusion between nationality, ethnicity and race. Also, since ethnicities are based on reference populations and formulas different for each company, there is of course no scientific claim of accuracy on ethnicity, even from the labs themselves. However, the scientific genetic mapping of SNPs and STRs is real and cousin matching is accurate. Yet you don't cover that in your post? I'm confused as to why you believe the tests are a scam as you don't mention having taken or researched any of them.Rhihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07472224845627418585noreply@blogger.com
