Knox Bronson New Album One Man’s Opinion Of Moonlight Drops Feb 14th

In time for Valentine’s Day, Knox Bronson is releasing his newest album, One Man’s Opinion Of Moonlight Feb 14, 2020. It’s an album of cover songs, ballads from the sixties and seventies, with one jazz standard, Autumn Leaves, and one original, Pop Down The Years, a love song to all the music Knox grew up with. The album title is taken from Young Girl Blues, written by Donovan, from his 1967 classic album, Mellow Yellow.

The album includes some of the songs that shaped Knox’s romantic ideals in his youth, a time when he believed “love almost conquered”. Knox stated recently “I’m hopeful this album will be an antidote to these strange days. As much as boomers are getting trashed, there are some of us who still believe the dream was not only real but possible”. 

Bronson’s first three albums were electronic/orchestral instrumental albums, quite personal, weird and beautiful. 
Somewhere between composing and recording of the second and third albums, he started writing songs again, which led to his first vocal album, “Pop Down The Years,” in 2008. It has lush backing arrangements, in the vein of David Bowie, Kraftwerk, and The Beatles. Over the next couple of years, Knox kept paring down his sound until it was just him and his guitar again, Knox also said he is now playing as “I used to play as a kid, going full-circle over fifty years time”.

The album will be available on iTunes, all streaming services, and at http://knoxbronson.bandcamp.com. Also available will be handmade, signed, limited edition CDs on his website and on the Bandcamp site.  Ultimately, the album will be released on vinyl as well.

Information About Exhibit:

The Intropy=Entropy Institute is proud to present the first solo exhibition of the Art and Architecture of Harold Terry Lindahl. Lindahl will exhibit several bodies of work created in the past 10 years, comprising sculpture, drawings, paintings, and architecture. The exhibition takes place at the site of the Intropy=Entropy Institute, a Potrero Hill historic building turned into an 8,000 sq. ft. architectural space in red oak and redwood, a striking sculptural structure in itself.

About The Artist
HAROLD TERRY LINDAHL is an architect, philosopher, and painter, as well as a former gallerist during the San Francisco Beat Era. He creates intricate, elegant ink drawings demonstrating the principles of his philosophical researches; abstract paintings based on those drawings that marry evocative form with color, recalling the works of Kandinsky, Klee, and others; and large, totem-like structures related to Constructivism, expressing his views of the human condition at this moment in evolutionary history.

After 25 years as the lead vocalist for Santana, Tony Lindsay has garnered 11 Grammy awards, traveled on several world tours and recorded on seven CDs: Milagro (1992), Supernatural (1999), Shaman (2002), Ceremony (2003) and Food for Thought (2004), Ultimate Santana (2007) and Multi-Dimensional Warrior (2008). Tony has become a regular performer for The Golden State Warriors(NBA), The Santa Cruz Warriors (G league NBA), The San Francisco 49ers, The San Francisco Giants and The San Jose Sharks, singing The National Anthem.

Lindsay joined Dancing with the Stars on three of the first four seasons as well as touring with Santana. Other bands that Tony helped form and still performs with are The Soul Soldiers, Black Magic, and the Ray Charles Project. 

 In 2015, Carlos Santana decided to change personnel in his band and set the wheels in motion for Tony to start on his 5th and current solo CD "Something Beautiful". Previous solo efforts are" Different Moods" in 1995, "The Message is Love" in 1997, "Tony Lindsay" in 2005, and "Memoirs" in 2014.

Details: Treat yourself to a relaxing day of mindfulness meditation - sitting and walking – interspersed with the poetry and humor of the ages.

The workshop will include guided meditations on the evolutionary origin of our body and emotions; reflections on death and dying; and an exploration of the tricky delusions of mind and the mystery of consciousness itself. Drawing on the book that became an underground classic, “Essential Crazy Wisdom,” we will hear from poets and crazy wisdom masters from Lao Tzu and Hafiz to Mark Twain and Lily Tomlin, giving us some perspective on this strange, impossible life we are leading. You may not get enlightened, but you are likely to have a few laughs and acquire a healthy dose of inspiration.Cost: This event is offered on a donation basis.

Ramana Vieira & Ensemble make their first-time appearance at San Francisco's premier night spot in the heart of north beach, Doc’s Lab. Ramana Vieira and her ensemble will be performing beautiful and haunting romantic folk music of Portugal, her own compositions, and some American Classics.

Ramana Vieira has been described by Mundo Portugues newspaper as the “New Voice of Portuguese World Music.” She has headlined the world's largest Portuguese festival, the New Bedford Portuguese Feast in Massachusetts, and has performed at the 2010 Encontro Festival in Macau.

One of her original songs, “Unido Para Amar,” was played for the 2006 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, and she was chosen to submit to sing for the 50th Grammy Awards special MusiCares benefit honoring Aretha Franklin. She also is a prolific songwriter having penned her own original Fado-inspired tunes, teaming up with some of the most award-winning luso-Poets. Joining Ramana is Ela Polak on violin, Stephen La Porta on drums, Steve Fowler on bass, and Brad Bivens on Guitar.
