Our Artists:
Pete Villaseñor, a printmaker skilled in images that are spiritual, Latino, Asian and meditative; TheArthur Wright, an artist who draws from the depths of history using the instrument of bleach; Tom Cooke, calls on his background of urban design to create wall mounted three-dimensional constructions; Stacy Presson, a jewelry designer who creates eclectic pieces made from natural materials as well as metals and jewelry fragments; Shara Hannah Shadowspeaker, a cutting edge mixed media artist who explores the nuances of personal identity and socially constructed norms in an attempt to uncover new narratives and universal human connections; Kathy Mejia, a mixed media artist uses childhood innocence to create philosophical messages and elements of the animal world to bring forth sculptural creatures; Janet Brugos, a mixed media artist who paints with texture to create depth in her art that is both spontaneous and controlled. Our diverse media and personalities beckons you to our world, where you will be warmly received.
East Bay Open Studios, organized by ProArts has been a popular annual art experience for decades, exhibiting the art of over 400 artists all over the East Bay. Priority Artists anticipates our fourth year to be another well attended and enthusiastically received event in Prior Hall at the Altenheim.
