Location: 2311 Buena Vista, Alameda, CA
Details:
Description of talk:
The Navajo have a way of describing someone who has committed a crime as: "he or she who acts as if they have no relatives.”
This talk explores how unskillful actions/crimes might arise out of a growing sense of alienation and a lack of belonging, endemic of our modern way of life. The speaker will share insights from stories about working with maximum-sentenced, violent offenders, what can be learned from their journey of healing, and how this may shine a light on our own struggles.
Cost: Donations accepted with gratitude
