Architecture International Conference to be held in Tehran
Organized
by Iranian universities with the collaboration of Sapienza University
in Rome, Italy, the conference kicks off on May 8, 2013, at the
Institute of Art Education, in Shiraz.
Prof.
Lucio Barbera and Antonino Saggio of the Italian University of Sapienza
will attend an Iranian conference on Modern Architecture and Cultural
Identity.
The
event has been organized by Tehran University, Sooreh University,
Ala`o`dolleh Semnani Education Institute, Shiraz Art Academy Institute,
Semnan Architecture University and Sapienza University from Rome.
Lucio
Valerio Barbera is a distinguished Italian expert in the field of
architecture and urban design. He is also the Dean of the First Faculty
of Architecture Ludovico Quaroni at the University of Sapienza and a
former deputy mayor of Rome for cultural politics and the historical
center of the town.
Antonino
Saggio is an architect, scholar and professor and holds the
Architecture and Information Technology Chair at the School of
Architecture at Sapienza, University of Rome. He is the coordinator of
the PhD program in Architecture Theory and Design which is one of the
oldest and more relevant in Italy.
During the conference, the place of Islamic countries in the world of architecture will be discussed.
The
Architecture International Conference will be held from May 8 to May
15, 2013, at the Institute of Art Education, in Shiraz, Sooreh
architecture department in Tehran, Visual Arts Pardis, Tehran
University, Tehran and Ala`o`dolleh Semnani Education Institute.
