The Five Precepts
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from destroying living beings.
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from taking things not given.
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from sexual misconduct.
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from false speech.
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from liquor causing intoxication and heedlessness.
I undertake to observe the Five Precepts to the best of my ability.(3x)
Don't hesitate to discuss it with someone close to you in your life.
Remember to sign up for the February 22, daylong which is a Saturday at the church. You can simply reply to this email or sign up on the Alameda Sangha website (link below). Give yourself the gift of a day of nurturing your internal selves. Baruch Golden and Pauletta will be teaching and the focus of the day will be Sila. Along with sitting and walking practice, we will have some time to explore more deeply and at a slower pace, what our deepest values are and how they align with our spiritual practice.
