Robert Buelteman, Photographer Announces Upcoming Lectures, Shows, and Commissions

One of Buelteman's pieces, Cynarascolymus, was selected to launch edible Silicon Valley, a magazine at the forefront of the "locavore" food movement, championing the cause of eating good food grown close to home.


Buelteman commissioned as artist of the year to provide 2013's covers for the Chinese magazine View International Fashion and Fabrics, widely considered to be the bible of Chinese textile design.

Please join Buelteman for a presentation of his first new work since 2007 at Annenberg Auditorium, Cummings Art Building, Stanford University, on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:30 pm.  

Works from Buelteman's portfolios Sangre de Cristo and Through the Green Fuse will be featured exclusively in the PHOTO Oakland booth #522 at artMRKT San Francisco May 16–19 at Fort Mason.  

Buelteman is delighted to be one of four guest speakers at the Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous (LASER) at the University of California Berkeley Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm. 

Join us for the opening reception of Buelteman;s exhibition Signs of Life at the PHOTO Oakland gallery from 2–5 pm Saturday, June 15. This is a relatively new gallery exhibiting the work of Bay Area photo-based artists. hd will also be giving an artist’s talk Saturday, June 29, 2–5 pm, during a second reception. It is exciting to be working with this inspired gallery in the heart of the East Bay scene!

Buelteman is honored to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve with the exhibition of a new portfolio of black-and-white landscape photography titled Chasing the Light:  Morning at Jasper Ridge. The Kriewall-Haehl Gallery at Woodside Priory School is hosting the exhibition for the month of June, with a reception Saturday, June 8, from 4–7 pm.
